Clubs History

The SNCC was Originally the South Norwood Constitutional Club which has been around since 1912.

Many famous MP's and famous snooker players have been members. Some of the past Chairmen include Lord Bernard Weatherill who was well known and served as Speaker of the House of Commons between 1983 and 1992. Croydon Councils new offices were duly named after him and are now called Bernard Weatherill House.

The club was also been visited by Winston Churchill.

More recently Neil Morrissey from Men Behaving Badly has visited our club.

Over the last few years the club has been used for filming, and local councillors have used our rooms for public meetings.
